This US Department of Energy website is the official site of the DOE, with lots of information about energy sources and efficiency, natural security, the environment, health and safety for consumers, educators and researchers. 

Nuclear Energy is not always a popular choice when we talk about alternative energy, but it is alternative to the mainstream fossil fuels so it needs to be included. Here we have lots of information from the  Office of Nuclear Energy, Science & Technology

Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy provides us with loads of information about the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy,  part of the US DOE.

The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEAI) website is the National Trade Association for all companies and enterprises from the field of solar energy.

The National Wind Coordinating Committee (NWCC) on the other hand, identifies the many issues which affect wind power and co-ordinates between the many key stakeholders.

Hydropower Program is organized under the DOE Office of Wind and Hydropower Technologies in Washington DC, and conducts research and development to make hydropower a real power for the future.
